Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Toss well to ensure all florets are evenly coated.
Spread the broccoli mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring even spacing for optimal roasting.
Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender and lightly crispy on the edges, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
Once roasted, remove from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if using, and toss gently.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving for an added burst of color and flavor.
