Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets and minced garlic.
Drizzle the olive oil over the broccoli mixture, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat well.
Spread the broccoli mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Roast in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until the broccoli is tender and slightly crispy.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot broccoli.
Return to the oven and roast for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese melts and becomes golden brown.
Remove from the oven, add the lemon zest, and toss gently.
Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, add more lemon zest or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
