Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast

½ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup whole milk, warmed

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs, at room temperature

2 tablespoons cinnamon

½ cup brown sugar, packed

½ cup raisins or chopped nuts (optional)

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2-3 tablespoons milk to thin icing

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until fully combined.

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.

Gradually add the remaining flour, ½ cup at a time, until the dough is slightly tacky but manageable.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle (approximately 16x24 inches).

Spread the melted butter evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough. Add raisins or nuts if desired.

Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seams to seal.

Cut the log into 12 equal pieces using dental floss or a sharp knife, and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a damp cloth and let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

While baking, prepare the icing by mixing powdered sugar, cream cheese, vanilla extract, and enough milk to achieve a smooth consistency.

Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly before drizzling the icing on top.

Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 2 hours | Servings: 12 Rolls

                                  - Presentation Tips: Serve warm, garnished with a dusting of extra powdered sugar or additional cinnamon on top. Arrange on a lazy Susan for a delightful sharing experience!
