1 lb frozen pierogies (potato and cheese variety)

12 oz kielbasa, sliced into half-moons

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cups sauerkraut, drained and rinsed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup sour cream

2 cups chicken broth

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

In the crockpot, layer half of the frozen pierogies evenly across the bottom.

    Top with half of the sliced kielbasa, half of the chopped onion, and half of the sauerkraut.

      Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

        Repeat the layering process with the remaining pierogies, kielbasa, onion, sauerkraut, and cheddar cheese.

          In a separate bowl, combine the chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.

            Pour the broth mixture over the layered ingredients in the crockpot, ensuring everything is covered.

              Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the pierogies are heated through, and the casserole is bubbly.

                Once cooked, give it a gentle stir to combine the layers slightly before serving.
