In a glass or ceramic bowl, combine the shrimp with lime juice and orange juice. Make sure the shrimp are fully submerged in the citrus juice.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30-45 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, indicating they are cooked by the acidity of the citrus.
Once the shrimp are ready, drain some of the excess juice, leaving just a little for flavor.
Add the sea salt, black pepper, diced avocado, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, cilantro, and lime zest to the shrimp.
Gently toss all the ingredients together until well combined. Adjust seasoning with additional salt if needed.
Serve immediately on a bed of tortilla chips or in small glasses for individual portions.
