Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Stir until well mixed.
Add the eggs one by one, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Gently fold in the chopped strawberries, being careful not to mash them.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
While the brownies are baking, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with the vegetable oil in a microwave or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
Once the brownies are done baking, let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, pour the melted chocolate over the brownies, spreading it out evenly.
Top with extra strawberries, arranging them as you like. Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or chill in the fridge briefly for quicker setting.
Cut into squares and serve!
Notes
Allow the chocolate to set before cutting for cleaner squares.
